Origin Story

You are a hero.

Well, not yet, you’re not. But you can be, and if all goes well, you will be.

You will come into your powers, live out your mundane life, face your nemesis, and fight crime in your city as your heroic alter-ego - all of these moments leading up to the decision of whether or not you will take the mask and dedicate your life to being a superhero.

Every hero has an origin story. This is yours.

Origin Story is a Wretched and Alone game about a would be superhero and their journey to becoming a fully realized hero as they master their powers, protect their city, and showdown with their nemesis. 

It is played with a wooden block tower and deck of cards through a series of prompt based turns. During play you will keep a record of your heroic exploits in the city, meet heroic allies, and create your origin comic - all leading up to the moment when you either face defeat at the hands of your nemesis or take the mask and become the true hero your city needs.
