The (Attempted) Thwarting of the (Attempted) Assassination of Archduke Frogz Ferdinand

The (Attempted) Thwarting of the (Attempted) Assassination of Archduke Frogz Ferdinand is a competitive two player game about a GUARD - the head of the Archduke Frogz Ferdinand's Froggyguard who has dedicated their life to the protection and safety of their sovereign, and an ASSASSIN - a ruthless killer who will not rest until their hands are stained with the blood of the Duke.

It is played using a checkboard, an assortment of polyhedral dice, and a paper football to play out the ASSASSIN's attempts at ending the Duke's life and the GUARD's attempts to stop them.  The game is played over the course of six rounds, using various prompts to set the scene for each assassination attempt and to reflect on the events of the round.

At the end of six rounds, use the fate of the Archduke to determine the fates of the GUARD and ASSASSIN. 

Will the Duke survive?

Will his loyal froggyguard be able to protect him?

Or will he fall to the hands of a ruthless killer?
